DenisseVergara Miller

I am going to change the lives of 411,000 people in ten years by fixing their immigration status.

Sixteen years in immigration law. One belief behind all of it: nobody should be treated as less than a person because of their status.

About Denisse

Mexico — where I started

I know what it costs
to wait.

I was born in Puebla, Mexico, and I lived there until I was 25. I went to law school there and became an attorney. Then I moved to the United States and started over — as a clerk, then a paralegal, then a law student, then a licensed attorney here.

So when you sit across from me, I am not guessing at what you feel. I have carried the same paperwork, the same waiting, the same question in the back of my mind about what happens to the people I love.

The fear I hear most in my office is not about paperwork. It is a parent saying: if they take me, who picks up my kids from school? That is what this work is really about. Immigration is not a form. It is your family, your job, your safety, and whether you get to plan a future out loud.

Most people who come to me waited years before they called anyone. They were afraid of getting scammed. They didn't know where to start. They assumed they didn't qualify for anything — and a lot of them were wrong about that. That's why the first thing I give you is a straight answer, in your language, even when the answer is no.

I believe legal help should be efficient, honest, and human. I only take legitimate cases and I do things the right way, because your future is not worth a shortcut. You will know what is happening in your case, what it costs, and what comes next — every step.

Nobody should be discriminated against because of their immigration status. Not in a courtroom, not at work, not anywhere.

The number I work toward

411,000 lives in ten years

Four hundred eleven thousand lives, changed in ten years, by adjusting their immigration status.

That is the whole plan. One status, one family, one future at a time — and I am counting.

I worked my way up the whole ladder — clerk, paralegal, law student, licensed attorney. Nothing about this system is theoretical to me.

You are your own limitation. I decided a long time ago that mine would not be a small one.

My team is built the way I wish someone had built one for my family: bilingual, patient, and honest about the hard parts.

Media & speaking

Where I’ve said it out loud.

I talk to churches, community groups, and business owners about the relief that actually exists for people who were told they had no options. If your community needs that talk, bring me in.

In their words

The people who stopped waiting.

Most of them came to me because someone in their family told them to. That is the only referral I have ever wanted.
